Xmas shopping: the win/win solution

2015 Christmas shopping while helping animals and conservation efforts

Every year December comes and with it comes the high demand for original and cost effective gift ideas, so this year I thought I would do my part and offer my two cents on this.

I've always been a fan of optimisation and things that can perform two functions at once – guess it's a designer thing. It is according to this personal preference that I'd like to advice all people struggling for gift ideas this Christmas to go for something that lets you help animals in need and fund conservation efforts while also finishing up your shopping list. To me it sounds like a win/win solution.

So how do you go about it?

Well, all you need is a laptop/smartphone, a credit card and the following list which gives you a great choice for any budget and the option to go for a material or virtual gift:

RSPCA – gifts for animal lovers

World Animal protection – gift shop

HSI – humane gift

Whale and Dolphin conservation – shop

Also, if you'd rather stick with a specific gift idea you can still make it count double by using Give As You Live when you go through the online checkout. I first heard of Give As You Live six months ago and I thought it was an awesome initiative and I've been using it ever since. In their own words, Give As You Live is a shopping and price comparison website with a heart. You can shop for products from thousands of leading online retailers and a percentage of every purchase you make will be donated to a charity of your choice. Awesome right?

Happy Xmas shopping folks!

:-)
